Sonakshi Sinha tied the knot with her longtime boyfriend Zaheer Iqbal in June 2024. Though her wedding was an intimate affair, with only a few family members and friends invited, fans speculated a rift between the Sinha siblings as her brothers — Luv Sinha and Kussh Sinha — weren’t seen in the photos and videos of the wedding that were doing the rounds on social media. Almost a year after their marriage, Kussh Sinha has finally broken his silence on the matter.
In an interaction with Times Now, Kussh addressed the rumours of him not attending Sonakshi’s wedding with Zaheer. He admitted that he was aware of the chatter circulating on social media, but shared that he didn’t feel the need to clarify anything. He said, “I was like, okay, so if someone wants to bring this up, it’s their agenda. I have nothing to do with it. If you can’t see me in pics, it doesn’t mean I wasn’t there. I don’t need to put everything out there every time.”
Rumours at that time suggested that Luv Sinha and Kussh Sinha didn’t agree with Sonakshi Singh’s choice of partner. However, in the recent interaction, Kussh spoke about the support Sonakshi received from her family for the wedding. He declined to speak on behalf of his siblings, Luv and Sonakshi, but acknowledged that the Dabangg actor is entitled to her choices, and that he respects them.
He said, “I think everybody is allowed to have their individual stance. As long as they’re doing it with honesty, I think that’s okay. It is how it is, and I respect that. I may not be into it day to day, but I respect her choices also. Like I said, she’s an adult, she’s an individual. She’s allowed to make her choice. And as my dad always said, ‘She’s not doing anything illegal, right?’”
Kussh also addressed his equation with his brother-in-law Zaheer Iqbal and called it “okay.” He said, “We’re okay! I don’t have anything against him that way. We’re okay.”
Last year, in an interaction with Lehren Retro, Shatrughan Sinha had spoken about Luv Sinha and Kussh Sinha not attending Sonakshi Sinha’s wedding. He had said, “I won’t complain. They may still not be so mature. I do understand their pain and confusion. There is always a cultural reaction. Maybe, if I was their age, I might have had a similar reaction to it. But, here is where your maturity, seniority, and experience come in place. Hence, my reaction was not as extreme as my sons.’”
