Rumour mills are buzzing with reports that Mrunal Thakur and Dhanush are set to tie the knot. While neither has addressed the speculation directly, Mrunal’s recent cryptic social media post has left fans wondering.
Taking to Instagram on Saturday, Mrunal posted a video of herself enjoying a sunset boat ride. In the selfie clip, she is seen gazing at the water as the wind tousles her hair. Along with the post, she wrote in the caption, “Grounded, glowing and unshaken!” Fans instantly pointed out that she used a Tamil song “Yaakkai Thiri” from the film Aayitha Ezhuthu in the video. “M used a Tamil song!!” a fan wrote. “M and her Tamil playlist,” another commented. Several social media users also dropped GIFs of Dhanush reacting with excitement in the comments section.

Speculations about Mrunal Thakur and Dhanush’s alleged relationship first surfaced in August 2025, when the duo greeted each other warmly at the premiere of her film Son of Sardaar 2. After the wedding rumours emerged on social media, a source told Hindustan Times, “Mrunal is not getting married next month. This is a rumour that has caught wind. She has a release scheduled for February, why would she get married in such close proximity to her film release? And then in March, she has another film’s release in Telugu in March.”
In other news, the teaser of Mrunal Thakur’s upcoming romantic drama Do Deewane Seher Mein was released by the makers on Monday. The film, also starring Siddhant Chaturvedi, has been produced by Zee Studios and Bhansali Productions. The project is being touted as the “perfect love story between two imperfect people” and as a “modern romance that feels like a memory you didn’t even know you were holding on to.”
