YOLO Entertainment & Weddings has executed what is being described as a landmark moment on the global wedding landscape — the first-ever Indian Sangeet set against the Pyramids of Giza, alongside the first Indian wedding hosted at The St. Regis New Capital.
The four-day celebration of Akansha Bakshi and Krunal Pardiwala unfolded from January 23 to January 26, 2026, in Cairo, Egypt. The festivities marked multiple historic milestones: the first Indian wedding at The St. Regis New Capital and the first-ever Indian Sangeet hosted at the Pyramids of Giza.
Krunal Pardiwala represents the third generation of a distinguished Mumbai-based business family with over five decades of legacy in India’s printing and graphic arts industry. Founded by his grandfather, Ramesh N. Pardiwala, the family enterprise played a pioneering role in modernising India’s printing ecosystem and introducing global brands to the country. Built on integrity, scale, and long-term contribution to Indian industry, the Pardiwala legacy continues to evolve—with Krunal now carving his own path in wealth management, balancing heritage with a forward-looking professional vision.
Akansha Bakshi hails from an illustrious Jaipur-based family deeply rooted in education and enterprise. As Joint Director of Jaipur National University and the Seedling Group of Institutions, she represents the next generation of leadership within one of Rajasthan’s most respected academic institutions. Alongside her role in education, she serves as CEO of Sandeep and Family LLP, leading the group’s foray into luxury hospitality with the upcoming Signia by Hilton, Jaipur.
Their union brought together two influential families — one grounded in industrial legacy and financial stewardship, the other in academic excellence and visionary entrepreneurship — resulting in a celebration designed to reflect both heritage and ambition.
Before Cairo became the setting for their wedding, the couple’s journey began in Santorini, Greece. Against the backdrop of the island’s blue domes, sweeping Aegean views, and whitewashed architecture, Krunal proposed to Akansha, marking the beginning of their story under the hashtag #PardiofaKind.
As avid travellers, the couple explored several global destinations before selecting Cairo. During a recce visit inside the Pyramids of Giza, the decision was finalised. Each subsequent event was intentionally conceptualised to build toward a singular crescendo at the historic site.
January 23, 2026 | 7 PM onwards
The opening soirée embraced a dramatic black, white, and red palette. Immersive LED staging, roulette-inspired entrances, and theatrical storytelling set the tone for the celebrations. Performances by Danish and Shabbab Sabri transformed the ballroom into a high-energy spectacle blending couture, music, and production.
January 24, 2026 | 11:30 AM onwards
A serene daytime ceremony followed, inspired by Ladurée pastels in blush pink, ivory, and soft green tones. The setting offered a romantic contrast to the grandeur of the evening ahead.

The defining moment of the wedding unfolded at the Pyramids of Giza. Guests arrived in personalised convoys led by a Bentley carrying the couple and were welcomed by fire performers and grand staging.
The evening featured performances by Kanika Kapoor and Sajid, marking what organisers describe as the first-ever Indian Sangeet at the Pyramids of Giza.
January 25, 2026 | 2 PM onwards
The Indian wedding ceremony began with a high-energy baraat led by a supercar convoy and DJ truck, followed by a pastel-toned traditional ceremony accented by fountains and floral décor.
The celebrations concluded with a ballroom reception featuring a grand staircase entry, live saxophone and violin performances, a five-foot cake, choreographed ballroom dances, and a laser-light transition into a DJ finale. A fireworks display over Cairo brought the four-day celebration to a close.
The wedding incorporated several personalised details, including:
- Custom kaleeras featuring symbolic charms — a Pyramid representing Egypt, the number 25 marking both the wedding date and Akansha’s birthdate, a ring symbolising their union, and an AK monogram.
- A custom-inscribed veil for the white wedding bearing the words:
“When the universe was ready, it wrote: Akansha ♥ Krunal” - A “Something Old, New, Borrowed & Blue” tribute: her cousin officiated the ceremony wearing her late Nanaji’s tie (Old); the custom veil (New); an “I Do” clutch borrowed from her sister (Borrowed); and a handwritten letter from her mother on blue paper tucked inside her purse (Blue).
- Personalised convoys, couture décor, curated welcome hampers, shawls, menus, and bespoke gifting designed as part of a cohesive narrative-driven celebration.
“The first Indian wedding in Cairo, with the first-ever Indian sangeet at the timeless Pyramids of Giza, where love, legacy, and history were created together. We are deeply grateful to be part of this journey, and to Krunal and Akansha and the families for trusting us with something so special.” — Pratik & Jueta Hemdev, YOLO Entertainment & Weddings
