“Mr. & Mrs. Dhawan!” Former Indian cricketer Shikhar Dhawan dropped wedding pictures with his second wife, Sophie Shine, embedded with a red heart emoji. Shine reciprocated the same on her Instagram profile with a gallery of images ranging from the Sangeet to the day of the marriage. Family, friends, and fans congratulated the couple on the occasion.
Sophie Shine is a 1990-born Irish corporate honcho who served as the VP of the Northern Trust Corporation (NTC) in Abu Dhabi. She initially started off as a product consultant after pursuing higher studies at the Limerick Institute of Technology. Shine did her schooling in Ireland before graduating from Castleroy college. After her stint at the NTC in March 2025, she took up the role of the CEO of Da One Sports, a venture founded by Shikhar Dhawan. Sophie also manages the Shikhar Dhawan Foundation for various philanthropic endeavors.
The couple was first seen together at the 2024 IPL matches. Reportedly they first bumped into each other in a Dubai-based restaurant. Her appearance with Dhawan at the ICC Champions Trophy 2023 stand cheering for India sorta confirmed the rumors of Dhawan’s separation from ex-wife Ayesha Mukherji. Dhawan shares a son with Ayesha, named Zorawar, who is 11 years old.
Meanwhile, Shilar Dhawan and Sophie Shine confirmed their relationship in an IG post in June 2025. In January the duo got engaged. They exchanged their marital vows in a private ceremony yesterday.
