About The Wedding
Our wedding took place on December 18, 2024. Although our wedding was in Goa, we felt beach weddings had become a bit overdone. We wanted something more earthy, grounded, and spiritual. There’s something about the woods that feels so serene—almost like time slows down when you step into nature. As we’re both from Seattle, and Saurabh proposed to me in Olympic National Park, I really wanted to recreate that same feeling in our wedding. We designed our mandap to look and feel like it was a natural part of the landscape. It was simple, organic, and timeless—just like the vows we were about to exchange.
We chose ivory for our guests’ attire, which perfectly contrasted with the earthy tones of the woods while allowing our light pink outfits to stand out. It was subtle but elegant, and I highly recommend this approach to couples—playing with contrasts can bring out the beauty of both your wedding theme and your personal style.
