Some love stories unfold slowly, like vintage film reels you want to keep watching over and over again. For Anushree and Aarya, it started as teens reconnecting on Facebook… only to later realise they had actually shared a classroom in playschool.
Set in those dreamy heritage spaces at the gorgeous Samode Palace (yep, think arches, courtyards, and major Pinterest energy), the wedding vibe was intimate, effortless, and full of personality. Anushree kept it super chic with soft, flowy silhouettes – nothing too OTT, but every look had something that made you stop and stare. From delicate details to jewellery with meaning, it was all so her.
Aarya matched the mood with looks that were crisp, minimal, and quietly confident, basically, the definition of less is more.
Also, special shoutout to their doggo who totally stole the show in a custom outfit.
If you’re planning a wedding that feels personal yet polished, this one’s packed with inspo. Scroll further; the outfits are doing all the talking.
Meet Anushree & Aarya
“We first met when we were teenagers, roughly 13 years old. Soon after, we lost touch – but then reconnected through Facebook (you know, the peak Facebook era when you were rediscovering long-lost friends and acquaintances). That’s when we found each other again. We started chatting on Facebook, talked some more, exchanged numbers, and decided to meet. And just like that, things rekindled – we clicked and started dating.
Five years into our relationship, we discovered that we had actually gone to the same playschool in junior KG. Aarya remembered having his first little crush on a girl, which he had mentioned when we were chatting on Facebook and getting to know each other, only to later realise that the girl was me all along. It honestly feels like life moves in perfect circles.
Nine years into our relationship, we decided to spend the rest of our 90 years together.” – shares the bride.

About The Wedding
“We wanted our wedding to be a reflection of our personalities and the bond we share. We’re both drawn to immersive experiences, and that’s exactly what we hoped our guests would feel when they attended our celebration—an experience that truly represented our union.
In our culture (Gujarati), weddings are often quite passive, with only the couple and their immediate families actively participating in the rituals. Honestly, we’ve found ourselves being passive guests at weddings too, with little understanding of what’s actually happening. So, it was really important for us to be fully present and aware of the meaning behind each ritual, to know what we were doing and why.
As a couple, we’re pretty chill—and we wanted our wedding to feel the same. We hoped for an itinerary that gave our guests the time and space to explore the property, soak in the vibe, and enjoy a relaxed celebration with us.
Our personal style is rooted in lived-in luxury. We both cherish vintage pieces and hand-me-downs, and that naturally influenced the aesthetic of our wedding—simple, elegant, and deeply meaningful.”
