Some travel memories are planned. Others happen completely by accident. For an Australian vlogger in India, a casual walk past a wedding venue turned into an evening of dancing, food, and unexpected hospitality.
Duncan McNaught has gone viral after sharing a video of himself quite literally “walking into” an Indian wedding, despite not knowing anyone there. The clip, posted on Instagram, has already racked up nearly 30 million views, leaving the internet amused and impressed by the effortless hospitality he encountered.

According to Duncan, he was simply passing by a wedding venue when he decided to try his luck. Spotting someone near the entrance, he asked if he could step inside. To his surprise, the person happily welcomed him in; no invitation required.
What followed was a delightful glimpse into the chaotic charm of Indian weddings.
In the video, Duncan can be seen meeting guests and even greeting the bride. At one point, a woman warmly applies a ‘teeka’ on his forehead, a traditional mark often used as a blessing during ceremonies. Duncan, clearly unfamiliar with the ritual, jokingly refers to it as “head paint” but happily goes along with it.
The evening only gets more entertaining from there. The vlogger samples the wedding feast and wanders into the sangeet celebrations, where music, dancing, and excited children fill the room. Soon enough, Duncan joins the dance floor, matching steps with a group of enthusiastic kids who seem thrilled by their unexpected international guest.

“Wedding crashing in India has never been so easy,” he wrote in the caption of the video.
The internet, unsurprisingly, loved the wholesome moment. Many viewers said the video perfectly captured the spirit of Indian hospitality, where even a complete stranger can be welcomed like family.
Others joked that Duncan had discovered one of the country’s “best travel hacks”, turning up at a wedding for free food, music, and new friends.
If the viral clip proves anything, it’s this: in India, sometimes the best experiences come when you simply walk in.
