A North-South Wedding In Bali Which Blended Tradition Beautifully

A destination wedding in Bali is dreamy enough, but when you blend North and South Indian cultures elegantly, then it gets all the more whimsical. Rohan and Mansi had their beautiful Bali wedding their way, personalising it to perfection and making sure everyone had a blast. The bride wore some pretty, breezy outfits, which were subtle yet elegant, making her a perfect fusion bride!

Meet Rohan and Mansi

“We met during the lockdown period during the pandemic. We were both back home in Singapore (where we grew up) and met through mutual friends. We realized we had crossed paths alot in the past given our mutuals but didn’t remember each other and now the rest is history”, the bride tells us.

About The Wedding

We wanted a blend of our two cultures without one overpowering the other – My Tamil/Palakkad heritage and his UP/Haryana customs. Along with that we wanted to celebrate the beautiful backdrop of Bali and all the local talent which we tried incorporating in our vendor list. We wanted all the ceremonies from the mehndi to sangeet (which we called Baliwood night), to our Tamil style Vedic wedding in the morning and Varmala in the evening to be full of color and vibrancy. I also wore my ancestral jewelry to remember and celebrate those that couldn’t be with us today.

About The WedMeGood App

So how WedMeGood help me? The Oonjal ceremonies from your post of having oonjals without backing and well decorated from scratch was our biggest inspiration during our south indian wedding. Other posts about incorporating dogs in the ceremonies was also another big source of inspiration for my bridal mehendi since we couldn’t bring our fur babies with us.
