A pre-wedding shoot of a police officer couple from Hyderabad that surfaced recently on social media had segments showing them in uniform at a police station and on duty. Many social media users have not taken kindly to the video and said they should not have used their professional space for personal whims.
The viral video, which shows the two officers meeting at the police station while on duty and then moving into a dance sequence, also drew the attention of Police Commissioner (Hyderabad) CV Anand, who felt nothing wrong with two police officers using the department’s property but advised other officers not to repeat this again without permission.
“I have seen mixed reactions to this. Honestly, they seem to be a little overexcited about their marriage and that’s great news, though a little embarrassing,” Anand said in his post on X.
Sub Inspector K Bhavana is currently attached to the Panjagutta police station and her husband Ravuri Kishore is with the city Armed Reserve. The couple got married in August.
Anand said that the department would have given the couple permission for the shoot had they sought it.

“Policing is a very very tough job, especially for ladies. And she finding a spouse in the department is an occasion for all of us to celebrate. The fact that it’s two police officers, I find nothing wrong in them using the police department property and symbols. If they had informed us earlier, we would have definitely given consent for the shoot,” he added.
Responding to those who felt it was not right on the officers’ part to use the uniform and police station premises, Anand added, “Some of us may feel outraged, but I feel like meeting them and blessing them, though they didn’t invite me for their wedding.”
