In a unque development within the Indian wedding sector, the WedTech startup VivaHit has emerged as a transformative force. Established in 2022 by Hemant Meharchandani and Aman Kumar, it is on a mission to revolutionize the entire process of wedding preparation and implementation.
VivaHit CEO and Co-founder Meharchandani said he drew inspiration for the startup from his personal experience of organizing his wedding in 2019. During this process, he identified an unmet need within the market—a dedicated tech solution for effective guest management. This aspect, frequently underestimated in the space of WedTech, became the driving force behind the company’s creation.
In the conventional Indian wedding scenario, extravagance has long been associated with substantial expenditures on jewelry and clothing. Nonetheless, as weddings evolve into grander spectacles, there is a noticeable shift towards prioritizing the enhancement of the guest experience.
Meharchandani elaborates that VivaHit does not vie for competition with matchmaking websites or service marketplaces. Rather, its primary objective is to tackle the prevalent guest management challenges in Indian weddings. The platform streamlines various tasks including invitation distribution, RSVP tracking and reminder notifications. All these are possible through a unified application accessible on both Google Play and the Apple App stores.
VivaHit offers a convenient way to organize events within the wedding, enabling users to create and send customized invitation cards for different functions. The app also allows users to upload guest lists and manage logistics like vehicle and hotel room numbers. An AI-enabled photo scan feature ensures guests receive all their event photos seamlessly.
The vision for the startup goes beyond simple guest management. The platform aims to engage wedding guests from the moment invitations are sent out, facilitating pre-wedding activities and fostering interaction among attendees.
