Aamir Khan’s daughter Ira Khan reacts to husband Nupur Shikhare wearing shorts and a gym vest at their wedding: ‘Now, he will take a shower…’

Ira Khan, the daughter of Bollywood actor Aamir Khan, tied the knot with her longtime boyfriend, fitness trainer Nupur Shikhare, in Mumbai on January 3. Aamir’s first wife Reena Dutta, ex-wife Kiran Rao, sons Junaid Khan and Azad, and Nupur’s mother Pritam Shikhare, were all seen decked up for the big wedding. Nupur, however, jogged 8 kilometres to the wedding venue, and proceeded to complete the formalities wearing a pair of shorts and a gym vest.

The couple registered their marriage and exchanged vows on Wednesday. In a video being shared online, Ira took to the stage, and addressed the gathering. She said, “I take thee Nupur Shikhare as my lawful husband.” Nupur said, “I Nupur Shikhare take thee Ira Khan as my lawful wife.”

After exchanging vows, and saying ‘I do,’ Ira bid a goodbye to Nupur and announced that her husband will go take a shower now. In another video, Aamir was seen welcoming the ‘baraatis.’ Aamir gave his son-in-law Nupur a tight hug and also shook hands with the other guests. Mukesh Ambani and Nita Ambani also graced the occasion and Aamir was seen welcoming them.

Ira looked stunning in a pastel pink dhoti pant for the big day. As per reports, the couple is set to host a lavish reception in Mumbai on January 13, expected to be attended by the who’s who of Bollywood.

The pre-wedding celebrations took place at Salman Khan’s residence, and there are reports suggesting that another ceremony will be hosted in Udaipur soon.
