Actor Nagarjuna is excited about the upcoming wedding of his son, Naga Chaitanya, and Sobhita Dhulipala. The veteran Telugu actor also said the bride’s family wants to keep it extremely traditional and close to home and everybody is on board with the idea.

The 65-year-old spoke to The Times of India and revealed that neither Chay nor Sobhita wanted a big-fat Indian wedding, and everything is now being prepared as per their plans. “Chaitanya didn’t want a big wedding. He and Sobhita both preferred a gathering of close family and friends. They told me to leave the arrangements to them. They wanted to do it their way, and honestly, it was a huge relief! I said, please do,” he said.

The popular actor went on to talk about Sobhita’s side of the family. Highlighting the significance of wedding rituals and holy chants, Nagarjuna added, “Sobhita’s parents were clear about wanting to include all the rituals, and I was completely on board. I find the chants and ceremonies so soothing — they bring a sense of peace. It’s going to be a lovely wedding, simple and heartfelt, just like the couple.”

The couple is getting married on December 4 at the Annapurna Studios in Hyderabad. It is going to be an intimate affair with only close friends and family members in attendance. Interestingly, Sobhita has also decided to ditch popular stylists and designers to doll her up on her big day. The actor has reportedly chosen a locally sourced Kanjivaram saree with gold zari, and another Khadi saree as part of her wedding trousseau.
